Big Dave curates another spectacular night of music featuring Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys, one of the world’s most beloved Roots acts, drawing from the deep musical waters that flow just beneath the soil of rock’n’roll’s fertile soil. After nearly 35 years on the road and more than two dozen releases to their credit, they remain key figures on the Americana / Rockabilly circuit, both on record and live appearances. It is not easy to straddle musical fences the way Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys do. They may be retro down to the 1949 bus they tour the country in, but they bring western swing, hillbilly music and roots rock raging into modern day.

Opening the show is Jinx Jones & The KingTones. In Jinx Jones’ impressive musical career he has visited nearly every conceivable style and genre of the electric guitar. From his work with Chuck Berry, Solomon Burke, and Roy Buchanan to his own acclaimed rockabilly albums, Jones has always strived to expand the possibilities of the instrument. The one thing that remains consistent throughout Jones’ multi-stylistic journey is the grace and finesse of his virtuoso playing.
