SONOMA COUNTY BLUES FESTIVAL BACK AT ORIGINAL LOCATION

Earlier this year, the Sonoma County Fair notified me it wouldn’t be bankrolling this years’ Blues Festival, so I went looking elsewhere.  THE KRUSH “saved the day” by offering to finance the event and the Earle Baum Center of the Blind generously offered their grounds (home of the Americana Music event, EARLEFEST) for the show.  Within a month’s time, the Fair Board changed their mind and aggressively pursued the station to bring the fest back to the fairgrounds.  So for “Practical Purposes”, the 30th Annual Sonoma County Blues Festival will be held on Saturday, July 31st from 1pm to 7pm at the Redwood Theater …back where it started 3 decades ago.
I want to personally thank Allan Brenner and the Board of the Earle Baum Center of the Blind for their generosity and willingness to step up to continue this community event. I’m looking forward to doing more shows on their grounds.
There will be a charge for the show this year ($20 which includes admission to the fair).
